From a high roosting perch the Kookaburra ‘hilariously’ welcomes in each dawn. Patient yet bold, this Bantam sized kingfisher is built to hunt and can dive like a bullet. The Kookaburra feeds from a menu of insects through to rodents but his ability to kill and consume snakes makes him the bushman’s friend.
